The African American Babies Coalition is a group of African American community leaders committed to supporting the healthy development of babies by translating what we know from early childhood development research and brain science into culturally relevant information that can be used in African American family and community life. We are looking for service providers (case managers, social workers, family specialists, health care providers, early childhood education or childcare providers, etc.) who are working with African American clientele to join us in one or all of our three 2-hour workshops in order to gain knowledge, skills, and practices about how to work with African Americans in a culturally-appropriate manner. Our trainers will explore topics such as trauma, toxic stress, and factors that impact the African American community and health outcomes.
Attend one, two or all of our workshops!
Registration Fee: $30.00 per workshop. However, if you attend all three workshops the fee is $80.00
Workshop 3: Effective Communication with African American Clients

Time and Date: 9:30am-11:30am on Friday, October 21st
